That would be overkill for my driveway ! I have a snowblower that throws it pretty far...![]()
26 below this morning, we've had so many mornings below zero this season that i lost count long ago. Winter started the 2nd week of November for us this time, 6 or 7 weeks earlier than usual and even threw us some sub-zero temps in November, which i have never seen. Starting to see frozen water mains in my surrounding area. We're running out of places to put snow, stock piling in my back yard now.
Yeah, i'm ready for spring, damn ready!
OG, stop shoveling. Get one of these:

I have a 10 HP Troy-bilt that will break windows and cold vinyl siding if you're not careful. Works great for the early part of the season. But as the season wears on, and the ground becomes frost heaved, and the surfaces uneven with some icy patches, it's a lot like taking a bull by the horns. I have my eyes peeled for a 5 foot 3 point snowblower for the tractor so i can contract a couple local parking lot jobs.

I have what I beleive is a late 80's small 2-stage Ariens that I bought used from a guy I worked with. He would buy and sell mowers and snowblowers and such to fix and resell. He gave me a great deal, and I've been happy with it......well as happy as you can be moving snow :-) It doesn't work with the crunchy hard packed stuff too well. That's kind of my fault for putting it off, and driving over the snow with my truck.

No kidding, i saw one of these for the first time a week or two ago. We have to go up over some big hills to get to my girlfriend's parent's place, and i saw a fella working on the driveway to a weekend property with one of these on out way over.
"Beast" is the first word that came to mind.
I also have this dumbass thing. It's some of the most fun you'll ever have destroying your back and freezing your ass off.

When did we get the "dislike"? Seems like a good way to stir up crap.
